“Bring It On” is usually a two day engineering careers event held in Sunderland for 9-14 year olds. This year they are offering the content online instead.
Northumbrian Water’s Innovation Festival is taking place between the 14-17 September. It promises four full days of festival goodness will be squeezed through your fibre connections and Wi-Fi boxes and straight to your laptops, tablets and phones.
This outlines our great project involving several groups and role models going into schools in each of the five Tees Valley Boroughs. We also had an informal diversity get together to make best use of Monira’s travel from Portsmouth as our presentation shows.
Unfortunately given the current climate we have made the difficult decision to postpone the Great Exhibition of the Tees Valley (GETV).
When we plan this, hopefully for late 2020 or 2021 start, GETV will help raise national and international profile of the Tees Valley in a positive way for the benefit of the whole community.
The public events and activities across all five Boroughs that celebrate all that’s new and inspiring in the Tees Valley area across industry, innovation, science, design and technology.
GETV will be built upon each year leading up to 2025 which marks the 200th year of the Stockton to Darlington Railway. In the meantime ideas and offers of support are most welcome, please email we.are.engineering.together@gmail.com.
We still want everyone to celebrate International Women in Engineering Day (#INWED20) with speakers who will enthuse you to Shape The World through true inclusion in all it’s forms.
Let’s make the most of our time having fun whilst learning together with those at home.
In the long term these web pages are a lasting legacy which will make the best use of our future time.
We want people to share their experiences and send us what they have created or share their thoughts on what they have done.So go and visit engineeringtogether.com/stem, see what you can do to have engineeringtogether.com/fun-at-home and of course keep smiling and stay safe.
Huge congratulations to Jo Douglas-Harris who has been shortlisted for this prestigious regional award. We know how inspiring Jo is and glad others have also recognised it. Jo continues to lead our campaign to continue to be inclusive as an industry as we know this is the way to grow ideas.
