Helping CITB focus on skills in the Tees Valley

Great to be contributing to interactive and engaging collaboration with the CITB, employers, education providers and stakeholders today in Middlesbrough.

We all are working together to get more people reach their potential and bridge the construction skills gap.

Pleased to see tangible actions agreed to help us all.

Together we can make a difference to get people working in good jobs in the construction industry.

Truly Engineering Together 🙂

November activity overview

We had lots of activities in the last month from many of our Council Members in the Tees Valley.

  • Paula and Jackie were pleased to be asked to be on the Monster panel and reported it was a great event.
  • Andy reported that www.engineeringtogether.com was up and running with an agreed framework and message across all social media platforms. Huge thanks to MAADigital for temporality hosting the web pages.
  • IHEEM STEM week planning well underway and it is looking to be a good week.
  • Our informal diversity get together also planned for January.
  • The RSA Women of Achievement at MIMA was publicised with help from a Radio Zetland interview by Paul I, Jackie and Jo making this event truly inclusive and wide reaching.

Moira from Engineering UK also gave us overview of NECoPE Tyneside group which everyone found interesting including outcomes from Bring It On which is a flagship event in the North East.

Monster STEMette

Paula, Jackie and Paul Ingram of Engineering Together helped with speed mentoring and interviews. We were even represented on the panel.

What do you get when you cross a bunch of scientists, technologists, engineers, mathematicians and a purple monster? Monster Confidence of course….
Very pleased with our gifts for being on a Monster Panel.

Thanks MAA Digital

For now it is a work in progress which we will over the coming weeks and months build upon. Working TOGETHER we can make a real difference. In the long term this website will help navigate through the plethora of STEM and engineering organisations and enable everyone to find resources.
