Doing, Being and Belonging in Norton

I was very lucky to be invited to the Norton Man Shed at the weekend.

I was inspired to see all the things the NORMENS team are doing and how this is helping many in the community by providing an outlet for creativity and support. The work they are doing to ease loneliness is fantastic which aides the mental well-being of men and women.

Engineering Together with EMCON

What a great day it was at EMCON 2023.

We were delighted to feature in the STEM area on a collaborative stall where we has some great discussions about all things STEM.

Our Chair Paula also curated a great panel event which featured our very own Diversity Champion Jo and host and some old and new friends including the STEMazing Alex. We will be sharing when this is available on YouTube.

Well done Julie

We are delighted to announce that our very own Climate Champion and award winner Julie was voted in as Chair of Stockton Council’s Community Climate Coalition.

This is one of four groups in the Coalition and this increases how our group are Engineering Together with Stockton Climate Coalitions.

Huge well done Julie who is helping to ensure we really have a bright future locally and globally.

Time flies!

It seems like only yesterday I arranged the first ever meeting of the Tees Valley North East Community of Engineers. However since last night marked our fifth AGM it clearly wasn’t!

I was delighted shortly after inception to be voted in as Chair and I am proud to say that the group has moved on leaps and bounds since the first meeting.

We quickly identified that we wanted to do things differently and our name change to Engineering Together really reinforced this. Today we remain very collaborative and live and breath our ONE VOICE culture.
