The Engineering Together team were delighted to get very involved with our local Great Big Green Week. Working with Cultivate Tees Valley, Sir Robert McAlpine, Climate Action North and Primary Voices we put on and helped with the following events….
- SOTGBGW logo competition judging where we were pleased to select a winner from some strong entries
- We helped set the daily questions for a daily prize of Lottie books
- Our stall at the Ropner Park Autumn Food Festival helped tell people about the oceans and plastic pollution
- Our Choices Assembly at Harewood Primary School told students about careers and everyday climate actions
- Engineering Education saw Sir Robert McAlpine deliver some construction materials for a construction play area and some told to help the staff and students tend the garden at Oxbridge Nursery School
- As well as helping award the SOTGBGW logo competition winner we gave a School Assembly at Bader Primary School
- And finally, we helped Groundworks at their Recycle, reuse and build a train in Stockton High Street
It was quite a week where we helped spread positive messages about careers in engineering, climate and nature.
