Allie and family are enjoying having fun at home

“The Engineering Together Fun at Home page is the perfect resource for families looking for fun and educational activities. It’s filled with new and unique activities if you’re looking for something fun to do as a family at home! The team always keeps the page updated too, so you can continuously check back for something new.

The last year has been quite the challenge with Coronavirus, so to be able to find up to date pages filled with family activities is so helpful. My family is actually having a get together tomorrow to try out these fun activities all together! I can’t thank the team at Engineering Together enough for their support.  If you find a fun activity feel free to send it over to them – they are so friendly! “

Maddie helps us all have fun

We have added another wonderful website to our Fun at Home section following a great suggestion from Maddie. She has found lots of things to do with her family and friends during lockdown. We look forward to seeing them working in STEM in the future…

“Some of our favourite things to do as a family over this last year have been family movie and game nights (we love board games)! My son and husband have been playing old video games, and my daughter and I have done a bunch of crafts and activities together. With summer near, I want to have some new and fun games and activities we can enjoy over the next few months.

The Fun at Home page https://engineeringtogether.com/fun-at-home/ was perfect in leading me to a bunch of new, fun, and educational activities! Thank you so much for taking the time to put this page together. This is exactly what I was looking for!

My daughter, Maddie, was actually really interested in finding some new activities and she found a page full of STEM projects and activities! Here’s the link: https://constructiondisputes.com/construction-and-building-projects-and-activities-for-kids/

Maddie’s motivation and optimism inspires me! She has kept a positive attitude through this entire pandemic and I think it’s really cool that she found an educational activities page on her own. She actually shared it with her group of girl friends and they think it’s really cool too! “

Engineering Together for National Apprenticeship Week

As a Top Former Apprentice on the 2019 WE50 list and the 2020 North East Apprenticeship Champion our Chair has shown she is very passionate about apprenticeships.  This year was no different.

In National Apprenticeship Week we can all help provide information to future apprentices and help them make well-informed decisions.  Find out more about local networks in her article for The Tees Online or listen to her chat with Hartlepool FE and interview with CVFM Radio to find out why apprenticeships are a great option.

It’s High Tide we celebrate Tomorrows Engineers Week

Tomorrow’s Engineers Week is a community-wide campaign that has taken place every November since 2013. The Week is all about showcasing modern engineering careers to young people, their teachers, parents and other influencers.

Our very own Tees Valley based High Tide Foundation interviewed Paula to shine a spotlight on the world of engineering and opportunities in the sector.
